DHCP stands for Dynamic Host configuration protocol, used to dynamically assign IP addresses to systems over the network. I will guide you to install and configure the DHCP on windows server 2019.
- Windows Server Operating System(Windows Server 2019)
- Static IP is configured Windows server
- Port 67 and 68 (DHCP Port) should be allowed
Install DHCP Server
Step 1: Open Server Manager and click Add roles and features.
Step 2: Click Next to start the Role and Feature Wizard.
Step 3: Select Role-based or feature-based installation and click Next.
Step 4. Select the Destination server on which you want to configure DHCP and click Next.
Step 5. Put the check on DHCP Server from the “Select server roles” window. As soon as you choose DHCP, Add feature windows appears.
Step 6: Put the check on the include management console and click Add Features
Step 6. Click the Install tab to begin the Installation
Step 7: After Installation, Configuration is required to using DHCP Server.
Step 8: Click Next to continue with the DHCP Post-Install Wizard.
Step 9. Click Commit
It creates a DHCP Admin group and authorizing the DHCP server with success notification. Click close.
